Kindergarten

In Kindergarten we have just finished a unit of learning how artists use shape in their work. Students will now begin a unit based on mixing primary colors to make the secondary colors.

First Grade

In first grade students are learning about diversity. We are creating several projects that celebrate individual differences.

Second Grade
|
In second grade students have recently finished up a unit focusing on the warm and cool color groups. Students are now creating a work of art inspired by Stuart Davis's signature style as well as personal interest.

Third Grade
|
In third grade students are currently learning about how artists use line variation to complete both two and three-dimensional artwork. Students will soon use line variation in a project based on the early work of Henri Matisse.

Fourth Grade
|
In fourth grade students have recently finished a unit inspired by color groupings as well as Navajo art. Currently students are learning about radial symmetry while creating a personal peace mandala.

Fifth Grade
|
In fifth grade students are beginning a unit inspired by Aboriginal artwork as well as personal poetry written in their homeroom.

Sixth Grade
|
In sixth grade students have recently finished a unit focusing on Keith Haring's style. Students will now begin a unit inspired by American artist Romare Bearden.
